The 3g iPhone will be a substantial 2.5mm thinner than the older model, which was only 11.7mm to start with. This change will reduce weight and increase sexiness. Memory in the 3g iPhone will weigh in at either 8 gigabytes or 16 gigabytes, with a $100 price difference between the two.
Pricing of the 3g iPhone is likely to be interesting, with AT&T rumored to be considering up to $200 in subsidies for new customers signing up to a two year contract with them. This price cut will undoubtedly create more interest as iPhone customers who download who previously felt the gadget’s price was a little beyond their means. This could be interesting for Apple and AT&T.
