Body By Vi Review

Body By Vi is a 90 challenge weight loss program by Visalus .Additionally Visalus is a Home Business Opportunity. We are going to break this review into two sections, Visalus business opportunity and the Body By Vi weight Loss Program.

Pros:

Good Flash And Hype. Flash and Hype is good for sales. A big part of selling is getting people to look at your product and good flash and hype is necessary especially if the product is sub par.

Cons:

Designed primarily as an income opportunity the product uses low quality ingredients in order to keep the costs down and the profits up. The Body By Vi meal replacements are Soy based. Soy is extremely cheap as a protein source, unfortunately Soy has been linked to numerous health problems, anything from Cancer to ADD. Before you consider taking this soy based product or selling it, Watch the video below to learn about the possible health problems and how to find a healthy a meal replacement.

Body By Vi Ingredients:

Ingredients are listed in order of concentration. The first ingredient listed is Soy which has the possible health related impact you saw in the video. The product does contain 30% of the daily required vitamins which is almost the one third needed to replace a meal. Basically this is designed as a meal replacement and does not add much other value in weight loss.

Body By Vi Ingredients

In comparison to a high end product such as Siselean, which is the same overall price, we see the difference in a product designed to assist in overall health and weight loss. The Siselean product utilized the pure whey serum and calcium caseinates, you learned about from the video above for the protein In addition the expanding action of the calcium caseinates helps you to fell full longer. Siselean also contains African Bush Mango recommended by Dr. Oz for weight loss. Siselean also contains Pea protein which provides lysine and chia protein Siselean supplies a full 35% of the daily required vitamins and includes 51 trace minerals.

12 Week Challenge with SiselThe Body By Vi shake serves as a meal replacement but does not include any additional ingredients to suppress hunger. In comparison Sisel adds ingredient to keep you feeling full for 5 or 6 hours. Sisel can provide their product at the same price even with the expensive manufacturing process and high quality ingredients because they own one of the largest manufacturing and research facilities in the world. Both Visalus and Sisel offer a weight loss challenge with community support and prizes.

The chart below is a comparison of several meal replacements. Overall the Body By Vi does well in comparison to most competitors. The one red flag is the allergens warning. Body By Vi has warnings for many allergies that aren’t associated with their ingredients which brings a concern about the manufacturing process of their product manufacturer.

Visalus Body By Vi Business Opportunity Review

Overview: The Visalus Home Business opportunity is predicated on the Multi Level Marketing compensation model. Multi Level Marketing is one form of Network marketing. So as a home business you would be building a team of people that are purchasing the products and also promoting the business opportunity as well as the products.

Visalus was was formed in 2005 as an income opportunity. This hits to two markets, home business and weight loss. The home business industry is booming all over the world. Weight Loss as a vehicle for a home business company has been used very successfully in the past.

Is this section we are going to evaluate the Visalus Body By Vi from a purely business perspective.

Visalus Business Model – Multi Level Marketing:

Multi Level Marketing is one form of Network Marketing. Network Marketing is the general concept of bringing a product to market and having individuals advertise and sell the product instead of the standard putting your product on a store shelf and letting the “Super Stores” make the lion share of the profit. The different compensation plans identify the type of network marketing company.

Multi Level Marketing is setup such that you sponsor people who also sponsor people and so on. That is how you build an organization. The income is derived by each person maintaining a monthly purchase of products. With the MLM structure you earn a small percentage of income off of each of those monthly purchases several levels deep. For Visalus this means that you would earn money on people in your down line that continue to order to monthly Body By Vi Products.

The Problem:

Network marketing without doubt is the best option for a home business. The concept is to build a customer base that will continue to re-order products and thereby create a residual income. Network marketing also provides huge leverage in that as you refer other distributors to the business you will earn overrides on their sales organizations. There in lies the problem with Visalus and their limited product line. Are people going to continue ordering products? If they aren’t making money or they don’t wish to continue using that particular product then you lose the residual income and the leverage.

In comparison to SISEL ( our highest rated opportunity) the difference is huge. Sisel has a huge product line of non toxic personal care and household items. In addition to the weight loss products, Sisel also has a line of top quality supplements. Once people learn that they can purchase products they use daily that aren’t toxic they can continue purchasing products they already use without the toxic ingredients that have been linked to numerous health problems. The difference being that with Sisel you can build a customer base and sales organization that will continue to purchase products for which you receive commissions. With Visalus your customers will most likely be short term.

Is MLM a good choice for you:

If your primary goal is to earn money online by starting a home business, then this is the most important choice you have to consider.

The first decision you have to make is:

  1. Do you want to start a business that will become your full time income providing a six or even seven figure annual income?
  2. Are you just looking to earn some extra income on the side?

Once you have made that decision then keep that goal in mind as your research your options. Don’t be afraid to talk directly with people promoting the opportunity. Most importantly DO NOT listen to people that spend their time and efforts knocking home business opportunities. Generally speaking they are uninformed and have no real valuable input. Listen to the people that are making money not posting negative comments on website after they get home from their jobs.

Body By Vi Weight Loss Program

You can read our extensive review of the Body By Vi Products.

The primary concern people have is “does the Body By Vi weight loss program work”? The simple answer to that is yes. That being said any diet that includes reducing your calories to less than what you burn off and includes drinking plenty of water and exercise will work.

The program basically consists of meal replacement shakes and supplements. You replace 2 meals a day with a shake which is mostly just a protein shake to provide the missed protein which reduces you calorie intake and takes care of your hunger. The supplements are primarily a method to induce caffeine to speed up your metabolism.

Overall these are decent products. They can easily be replaced by higher quality products.

The real enhancement that is added by the Body By Vi program is in the community support and mindset. Success in dieting comes with sticking to the diet. A community support program is a real advantage.

  • Debbie Myers says:

Your information isn’t exactly correct. As a fitness trainer and nutritionist, I can tell you with certainty that these products are far superior to anything else on the market. I’ve seen a lot, reviewed a lot, and tried many. The Vi-Shake has absolutely no caffeine in it whatsoever, and the Neuro has only 45 mg of green tea caffeine, and only two of the kits even have that product. It is safe and affective for most everyone because it uses a high-quality non-GMO soy in which the isoflavones have been removed. There are also two whey proteins. The three combined together help to curb hunger, burn fat, and build lean muscle tissue. It is also lactose free, gluten free, and has prebiotics, plus one third of the RDA of 26 vitamins and minerals. The Vi-Pak vitamins are pharmaceutical grade, which is the highest grade in the U.S. The products are Kosher certified, which is the highest food grade certification in the U.S., above that of the FDA. You won’t find this healthy combination anywhere. As far as the comp plan goes, well…ask BMW how many cars they’ve sold to ViSalus distributors. They were running out of the black ones (ViSalus’ color) and asked ViSalus to offer more colors. They now have have the choice of black, green, or silver.

This is also an American company. The founders are American, the production is completely in the United States, and the products were all formulated in America by American doctors and scientists. That alone puts ViSalus at the top of the class…

Have an open mind…don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it!

As to claims that you have made that they are the best products of their class made in America by an American company we would suggest anyone considering the Body By Vi products alone to compare them with the products provided by Sisel.

I joined the Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge and I am having great success in loosing weight! Have started at 192 pounds, and lost 17 pounds on my own, then leveled off and couldn’t loose any more. Nothing else worked, and NutriSystem and Jenny Craig are CRAZY expensive! I started the Vi program and I have dropped down to 165 and still loosing. The shakes taste delicious and you can make them any way you want using low fat options! I am SO pleased with the results that I became a promoter and I am not having a problem sharing it with anyone! It is NOT a “miracle pill” and you have to do it correctly so don;t expect to sit on your butt and not work at it! GET UP AND GO!

To Debbie Myers: Your information is not correct. To address just a couple of your errors: you cannot build lean muscle mass without exercise. You can’t eat (or drink) your way to lean muscle mass. And if you really were knowledgable, you would know that the word is probiotics, not prebiotics. You are simply and obviously a shill for the company.

Here’s my beef: I know a few people who are doing it and appear to be successful. How do I know this? because they advertise their income along with all the fancy things they get. It seems kind of weird if you ask me. I do pretty well for myself, but you don’t see me posting my salary or bonus on Facebook. But I guess like any pyramid, you have to try to sell your fancy lifestyle to get people to sign up.

I’m not a Visalus rep and don’t even recommend the product. However people that make comments such as Lyn calling Visalus a pyramid should actually get informed before making such a derogatory statement. Plainly put Visalus is not a pyramid. It is a legitimate opportunity and just because you see some people boasting about money and lifestyle you can’t condemn them all. Generally speaking it isn’t even compliant with federal regulations to make income claims.

I don’t recommend this company because I don’t like their products, but that doesn’t mean it is a Pyramid. (I’d probably buy the Body By Vi products before buying any sold at that big super store)

Visalus IS a pyramid, bottom line. It does not mean it is an “illegal pyramid scheme” at all. Any MLM is a pyramid. Stan is obviously a rep for Body by Vi.. .I know a couple people selling the product myself and have been approached to “try it”. I have done a few MLMs in my day and am not looking to get involved in them any more. I don’t knock people for getting in them, they are just not for me. I see Body by Vi having a few flaws.. to be successful you need to have residual income, by making a “90 day challenge” you are already telling people to stop purchasing after 90 days. I see this as nothing different than any other diet fad that has it the market in the past. It will do well for a while and people will make money, some a little some a LOT but eventually the hype will die down and if they have no more products it will disappear. Just my 2 cents…

Your 2 cents isn’t worth 2 cents. I am not and have never been a rep for Body By Vi. MLM’s are NOT Pyramid schemes. Get educated on what a Pyramid is and then give you input. A pyramid is an Illegal money game meant to resemble legitimate Network marketing. Pyramid’s do not supply a product. MLM with a legitimate product is a valid way to sell products. Network marketing has been in existence for more than 60 years.

I have yet to try this product (waiting for the sample to see if it even does anything for us), however I know quite a few people it’s worked for. Who cares whether it IS or isn’t a pyramid scheme? All I know is that I’m not out to sell it to anyone else Im just looking for something that helps with weight loss that costs less than Nutrisystem- THAT program is so expensive. They say you’re saving money, yet I have never in a single month paid 250.00 for my OWN groceries.. I spend just a little more than that for my entire family. Like I said though, I know lots of people who do Body by Vi and have lost loads of weight on it.

I went to a get together last night regarding this Vi shake and I have to say the biggest turn off for me was their video and emphasis on selling and how much you can make on this.
You can lose weight AND make money. It just seemed a bit ridiculous and praying on people who are desperate to lose weight. Let me tell anyone looking into this. In the past 2 years I’ve lost 100 lbs and kept it off. How? A diabetic diet (you don’t have to be diabetic to do it) and get your ass to the gym. I went twice a day and took my dog for an hour walk after dinner. You don’t need gimmicks. Sign me a skeptic who lost weight the old fashioned way, it wokrs.

Visalus products contain whey. They even tell you that people who are sensitive to milk should stay away. Since you are lactose intolerant you should only take whey which has had the lactose removed. I am lactose intolerant as well. Check out Sisel. This video does a quick explanation but does show how they remove the lactose and other contaminants from the milk. They use no soy and nobody should take a soy product. Watch the video at http://youtu.be/vGV1j6QIkWA. I can’t even eat a cheese pizza but this works great for me.

Debbie is a shill for the company. I know one of her down lines. The BMW pitch is a LIE and illegal under ENTICEMENT laws. You’re not allowed to advertise enticements; offering cars and showing checks. What people don’t know is that if you fail to meet the company quota YOU ARE ON THE HOOK for the car. It is not FREE by any means. Read Darren Little – he breaks thus company down for you. Also, all those 5 figure a month or more earners are from other MLM businesses. They are not making it from this one. That’s in Mr. little’s report also. Shakes don’t work for crap by any company. Might taste good. Might drop a few pounds but you will gain it all back once you stop. I got a novel idea – eat smaller portion size, drink lots of water and no sodas, or energy drinks (which are causing renal failure all over the country), no candy bars, cut down sugar period. WALK. That’s weight loss not these pretend miracle pills or shakes. If people would stop being typical Americans with I want it now attitude and put effort into it – the real American way. I’m overweight and need to lose at least 40 pounds. You know what, lay off the fast food and soda you’ll drop weight immediately. Don’t waste mo ey on a cheaply made product. They offer no credible information about their sconce and they are just trying to get you into the business. My best friend who hasn’t made any money yet is already acting like a typical newbie – defending it like a religion by telling me how I must be stupid and unwilling to grow. You know, those over energized nuts who swear life on it and 6 months later they are telling you it’s BS because they found a new one to follow. I asked for product ingredients because I cannot have certain things for medical reasons and he texted me he knew a phd nutritionist who said its great stuff. One, a nutritionist doesn’t know what I know about my condition because you have to be medical to u d’état and drug interactions with chemicals. Can you make money? If you have a line. But you won’t be a thousands ire because like all MLMs only the top make the money. Besides they only offer a few products. Once somebody gains weight they will quit. Go to weight watchers. It’s inexpensive and it WORKS. Go to the MAYO CLINIC website. Visalus us not on the top ten weight loss list. WEight watchers is number one. Mayo clinic trumps self promoted company. Every time. Just drink water, walk, eat less and that alone is weight loss – that’s what, the cost of a 2 liter buys a case of water or free from your tap. IF ANY COMPANY OFFERS (bogus) FREE CARS AND PROMISES IF WEALTH (sounds too good to be true because it is! Buy the product and try it, I’m only doing it cause I made him give it to me free first. Watch “fat, sick, and nearly dying” follow him – AMAZING. And he gave you the way for free.

This women spews rehersed dribble about this product, sentences straight from the website. She is a single mom and formally quite chubby and has lost alot of weight, but with the weight loss came the attitude gain. She now claims herself as a fitness/ health guru and is ready to give everyone advice. She recently started training for triathlons and always has some cheesey positive message posted about body by vi fueling her and hard work paying off.I do not need some formally fat girl who jumped on the protein shake band wagon telling me how to live healthy. She sounds exactly like the other stories i am hearing about this company,i feel like companies like this collect people who are desperate and easily jump into a trend and try to sell it/ defend to everyone around them. Pefect victims for a pyramid “organization”, and i use that term loosely. I am blessed to live in a rural area surrounded by fresh fruit and veggies and organic meats are abundant. It is another phase…just need to wait a year or two for all the people to find out it was to good to be true. But…………….some people have gotten caught up in all the hoopla and feelings of supericial stardom in a company that has quickly brain washed anyone signed up to earning a BMX witin 2 months!!!! All of a sudden you go from loosing weight to selling the product and the wightless becomes sidetracked:( If it is too good to be true, then it is. They are all on a high right now. Maybe when they tire of taking shakes and not eating real food they will realize the business end of it will fail. Who knew shakes would have replaced grocery stores! In the end they will realize discipline and being in control of your diet works best after all. Choices, choices, choices, it is not fun to buckle down but it is the answer in the end. When nutritionists reccomend shakes instead of a diet that consists of healthy food then maybe they are on to something!!

I tried Visalus becuase a friend was selling it and I wanted some extra protein in my diet. I loved the shakes so much, they are so good (many of them out there taste BAD), and they really do curb my appetite. I am not a distributer, only a customer, but I decided to try the (very expensive) cookies because I am so happy with the shakes. Also, I had a mistake when I ordered online (the website is not user-friendly at all) but the rep was able to reverse it for me just an explanation of what happened.

I’m not too sure about any of the hype with shakes we just finnished a convention in Kansas City this week with the body by vi people great folks ton of fun having them visit our city, That said this last year I have lost nearly 75 lbs using the “cave man” diet used by many of the cross fit people. it has been awesome! I can eat real food butter, eggs, cheese, red meat, whole milk, fruits and veggies basically the outer rim of the grocery store supplemented with some wild meat thrown in. The not as fun part, at least at first is the daily workouts
i prefer tai chi forms for a warm up but you could do yoga or any other stretching then pull ups/chin ups dips push ups hindu squats/ pistols/ reverse lunges whichever works for you some full body lifts then interval cardio as hard as you can go for what ever time goal you have increasing first the time then increasing the intensity while keeping time to about half an hour.(i prefer an exercise bike but what ever is clever) i have recently gotten of the workout schedule but will be getting on again next week when i get my new gym membership.

ViSalus is a complete scam. This product made me GAIN weight, even when I was drinking two a day (and I’m a fit person- 5’7 132 lbs). Furthermore, customer service is horrible and they will apply all their terms and conditions go you even I’d you have never read them, which is exactly what happens whe you sign up at the gym. DO NOT GET SUCKED IN TO THE SCHEME.

Pyramid MLM scheme vs Honest days work scheme… Honest days work- you work had for 6, 8, 20, 12 hrs/day as a Nurse, construction worker, steel worker, plumber, taxi cab driver, police man, whatever… You get paid your wage/salary and your boss gets most of the credit and money.

Pyramid MLM Scheme you become a middle management business person (“Man”) and as a business man you are in charge of marketing, sales, and personnel. You work hard or not at whatever time of day or night, at your computer at home, on your cell-phone, in your car or on the street or at some other place and you drum up business. And the people above you get most of the credit and most of the money.

Hmm… In either situation the less you do the less you make. The more you do the more you make… And either way the corporate people at the top or the “Boss” makes more than you.

And everybody elses product is better and yours is better than everybody elses.

Have a couple friends who are selling it as well. Made the past the BMW and cheque stage. I could not wrap my head around that ..but decided to try the product just out of curiosity. I too had nothing but problems from painfully bloating to feeling like I couldn’t even breath! As far as it being a scam..well it def something. Just another fad That will fade with the rest of them. Has any one heard of Vega?? Now that’s is the cleanest product out there. This Vi stuff is so full of crap! How can they claim they are gluten free and lactose free?? Read the ingredients!!!

Is it a Fad? Sure Its been around for 6 years… but It just recently came to Canada. Ill agree with lots of you eating healthy is number 1… Your right. But the issue is most people either don’t have the time, so they grab a coffee and a bagel donut etc, The shake is to replace that. I’ll also have to agree on they like to really push the business side which I wish they didn’t but they do. Iv been on the shakes for almost 2 years, they’ve helped me both at the gym and my eating habbits. I’ve learned on my own accord whats good and not good to eat, but I still use the shakes as they are quick and easy and taste good. Are the shakes expensive, no no their not about 2$ or so. Yes im a promoter but I suck at promoting 2 friends on it. I use the product cause I enjoy it and it works, first 2 months losts 20lbs and I wasn’t fat. After reading this article Im gonna take a look at sisel, sounds like a decent product as well. As for BMWs ya they give you a cheque for 600 if your hitting the quota… I havnt seen anyone NOT hit the quota before, i could see it may happen if someone who just hits it goes after the bmw though. @Amber what ingredients contain the gluten and lactose?

Wonder of wonders: you live off meal-replacement shakes, you lose weight.

    Who’d a thunk it? /sarcasm

Anyhow, yeah it ‘feels’ like a scam or a pyramid scheme, but whatever. If people are stupid enough to buy into it, that’s their choice.

With any product or diet or something of the sort, you will ALWAYS have your pros and cons. That’s just a fact. Nothing is fool-proof. I have not yet tried the Vi Shakes. For the past few weeks, I’ve been doing my research back and forth between them and the other companies out there. I’ve not yet made up my mind on what to do because with EVERY SINGLE ONE of the other competitors out there, I’ve found that there is something “wrong” or someone has a “negative” experience.
True, marketing shouldn’t be the “top-notch” on your “to-do” list, however, how is one going to get the product out there? Much like Scentsy!

I know, I know…two totally different subjects! Please don’t scrutinize! I was only being funny. But, seriously, scentsy products are purchased through people that are under other people that are under even more people and so on and so forth. It’s a smaller amount of money (considering your not buying a full warmer for your ENTIRE family…that gets expensive) but, still. People are out there to make money. You can’t fault anyone for doing so. We all want our paychecks at the end of the day to look nice without having to give them up to the next person standing in line with their hands out!!!

Customer service should be and is a very major role in any company. They’re representing your company. It should be a pleasant experience. I first and totally agree!

But, what I’m trying to say. Thank you all for your reviews and concerns and even success!

Myself, I’ve had a tough time with weight. I’ve tried all the fad-diets. I’ve been on weight watchers. I admit, it was a great diet…but was hard for me to pull out my calculator every where I went. I’m a mother of two boys who are always on the go and we’re always going to some sporting event or practice, school function and or vacation. I am EXTREMELY busy, like MANY MANY of you guys!!
I have even had a lapband surgery done. 2007. I SLOWLY but nicely lost 129lbs!! So proud of myself until I get very bad sick because I had a bad infection and part of it decided to settle on my port and I was in ICU for a while and ended up having to have it removed. Within the last two years, I’ve gained 60lbs.

It sucks. I can’t sugar coat it. It’s from bad eating habits. Always eating out…fast food here and there…and eating late. Not to mention, I am a stress eater!!

I even walk on a regular basis. And I’m very active with my children. And I never cook a bad meal when I cook 3-4 nights a week. I never “fry” anything. We always eat grilled chicken, veggies, grilled fish…etc. Salads. My kids love salads.

I am just thinking if I get on a routine of not eating only late at night. Make a time for a quick shake to get most of my nutrients, throw a fish oil pill in the mix…I think I’d do rather well… I just need motivation and support, much like EVERYONE!

But, as for as my ramblings…I just want everyone to realize that there are pros and cons to everything! =) Keep an open mind. What may be great for one person, may not be as great for another. We’re all different and our bodies are not the same!

Congrats to you all that have lost! And thank you for everyone with opinions! I really truly appreciate it!

A Single Mom of Two boys from the south!

I can’t go through all the comments that were posted but for anyone looking for a REAL wholefoods meal replacements try the VEGA line. Whole, clean, natural, free of inflammatory whey and soy, and available throughout Canada and expanded in the USA. Please read the books written by Brendan Brazier if you need more explanations on why the ingredients in the Vi Shakes are unhealthy and cause your body more harm than good. Yes, weight loss is hard, it’s a slow journey, but do it the right way. I’m not affiliated with VEGA in any way but there really is no line of products that can compare to the superior quality they produce.

Having gone through cancer and all the treatments experimental etc, I gained a lot of weight! Before starting the product I contacted my specialist doctor and he approved based on the nutrients within the product and the health benefits! I have saved money monthly as replacing 2 meals a days, having my snacks 3xs a day and a sensible dinner. We don’t stop and grab junk lunches or breakfast or dinners for that matter. Look at what you truly spend on meals and you can’t spend less than $2 a meal!!! This company is amazing, if it were a pyramid how is it that someone could make more than they person that personally enrolled them? They couldn’t, but with ViSalus it happens!!!

Hi Everyone! I am reading this and thinking a couple of things….first of all, it is 100% IRRELEVANT if people think Body by Vi is pyramid marketing….it IS! but who cares!?!? that is how they get the word out, DUH! and secondly, I do not sell it or anything, I recently saw a friend at a party LOOKING FANTASTIC, so I asked whats up, what is she doing? and she wasn’t even pushy, she told me the shakes….so basically, the stuff sells itslef, ya know??? I just stareted it 12 days ago and have lost 10 pounds, and I have to be honest, have been too busy to work out (wanted to) but did go for a walk in the evening a couple times. But the shakes taste great, I DON”T have to buy 5 hour Energy shots or drink Red Bulls all day at work like normal I have lots of engergy from it and am losing weight, so WHO CARES if it is pyramid, the stuff works! Try it, I already have people at my work asking why I am looking so good, see I am not telling people, the stuff sells itself and I bet I get 3 people to try it and maybe I will get free shakes for it,…..maybe I won’t??? WHO CARES because I am losing weight and FEEL GREAT!!!!
