100 Watt light bulbs are a thing of the past. But now you can get that bright light without the huge energy bills or the downside of the fluorescent lights.
Not only do the fluorescent lights have the weird lighting quality but they also contain mercury. LED lights provide better quality lighting without the environmental impact.
Sylvania began shipping the 20 watt bulbs to Lowe’s stores. These bulbs are supposed to last 25,000 hours which is more that 20 times that of an incandescent bulb.
Don’t shop at Lowe’s? Not to worry Home Depot also expects to have the new LED light bulbs from their manufacturer soon.
100 watt light bulbs were recently banned by the federal government and the smaller incandescent bulbs will suffer the same fate within the next 2 years.
LED light bulbs have been available for a few years in the smaller sizes and you’ve probably seen flashlights and such that utilize the Light emitting diode technology.
Welcome the LED light bulbs and so long to Thomas Edison’s incandescent bulbs.
