iPling is an Useful iPhone App
Many developers across the planet have been fighting to get their iPhone apps ready for the launch of the newest 3G iPhone. There is a stiff market for them to contend with and it is clear that only the very best, the slickest and most original iPhone apps will manage to make it to the top of the tree.
This is the stage upon which iPling is hoping to play; essentially a social networking application, iPling is fighting a hard market within a hard market. It needs all the luck it can get!
What makes iPling different from other iPhone apps that allow us to do similar things is in the way it matches us up with strangers that we might be interested in chatting to. Not only does it group people of similar interests into what it terms iPling ‘circles’, but it allows us to message those people anonymously thought the site (you send them a ‘Pling’).
Most of the iPhone apps that are available to buy (or for free) are presented in Apple’s central ‘library’, the apps store. Once thing that interests me is that iPling have decided not to go down this route. Is that a big mistake or a big bonus? We’ll just have to wait and see!
