Law of Attraction books (in some cases) are not the answer to a better life, but the concepts contained within them sometimes are.

There are a number of books that can help you to understand and use the Law of Attraction. Perhaps the best resource is the book by Esther and Jerry Hicks called “Ask and it is Given”. The title really encapsulates the essence of the Law of Attraction – if you really want something, and if you think positively about it, then you will have it.

Another great book on the subject of the Law of Attraction is the aptly named “The Law of Attraction”. This is a ‘nuts and bolts’ approach to the understanding of the subject and a great introductory training manual about how to utilize the immense power of the Law of Attraction for your own benefit.

Next come Aries and Aires. Both ‘real’ words from the English perspective, and both, interestingly, mostly coming from visitors that live in countries in Latin America. The location suggests that this misspelling is more than a coincidence and, accordingly, one must assume that the word Ares sounds a little different to those in Latin America than it does to our English speaking ears.

Arez is a spelling most often coming from the French visitors, while Areas comes from Greece and the surrounding areas (pun intended).

Some more interesting spellings – slightly less common – are those like Aeres, Aris and Aers. Mostly we reckon that these are just genuine misspellings and there’s very little that can be read from any of them. Spellings like Aers will fairly clearly come from occasions where the typist hits the ‘e’ and ‘r’ keys too quickly – and consequently get them the wrong way round. Others might just occur when someone misunderstands the Ares name.

So why aren’t more people dropping Ares Galaxy in favor of a new version? Loyalty in some cases, and in other cases lethargy Neither is a good reason to not pick up a new version of Ares and give it a whirl.

Many people remember back to a few years back when Ares Galaxy was, in truth, the only real P2P filesharing alternative. In the intervening years a lot has changed and the new crop and technologically far ahead of the tired old Ares Galaxy.

Some people may have tried one of the inferior versions of Ares – Ares Destiny and Ares Gold spring immediately to mind – and, this having left a bad taste in their mouth, decided to stick with Ares Galaxy for the foreseeable future.

There are better versions of Ares available and now is a great time to try them out. I only wish I’d done it years ago.

This assertion is simply not true and many of the contemporaries of Ares Lite –excellent applications like Ares Ultra, Ares Vista and others – are superior in so many ways to the original applications. Partly this is just technology getting better, partly it’s experience telling the makers how to do these things correctly.

While Ares Lite was very good application in its day (and it did a fantastic job when it was released), there is simply no need for a cut-down version of the Ares software. Ares Lite is Ares Galaxy but without the frills, taking up less in computer resources. Modern versions of Ares take up so little in the way of resources compared to a modern computer’s capacity that this ‘Lite’ness is unnecessary.

At the other end of the scale are the freebie games, the demos of upcoming releases, the tasters and the (mostly free) browser-based games. These vary in quality and longevity. The browser iPhone games are constrained by the capabilities of the browser itself and as a results are generally simpler than those downloaded and played direct.

Stepping into the shadows for a while we can see another option: downloading games (sometimes illegally cracked games) from P2P, torrent and ‘warez’ sites. What makes Ares Destiny different from the competition? Well, the fact that the makers decided to load it with spyware and adware, for one: loading Ares Destiny onto your computer will also put Dealio on there.

Dealio is commonly sold as a “price comparison toolbar”; in actual fact it is adware that is incredibly difficult to remove from the system. If Dealio is installed then expect the usual popup-ads to appear whenever you don’t want them. This is malware of the first order.

If we can look past this major indiscretion (it is not advised that you do overlook this, but hypothetically speaking, if you were) then Ares Destiny is a fine piece of software that functions adequately. The interface has a utilitarian approach to music downloads which, I feel, helps keep the whole process simple. The download process is very simple and slick and the installation process, while not the least troublesome way of going about things, is reasonably simple to follow.

But these features do not redeem Ares Destiny from its attempt to load what amounts to a virus on to my computer: no amount of interface sexiness or trouble-free installation could redeem it

Ares Ultra’s main functions are limited to, well, filesharing. It is as simple as that.

If you’re stuck with AOL Ares Ultra provides an excellent solution to your problems, too. While it won’t rid you of the ISP it will play nicely with it, allowing you to download and share music as though you hadn’t chosen the worst ISP in the world.
