Ares Ultimate surprisingly easy to use
I never thought I’d be writing praise about a filesharing application; but then I’d not found a perfect one until I started using Ares Ultimate. Well, perhaps it isn’t perfect, but if not then it’s damn near.
What struck me most about Ares Ultimate was the fact that it didn’t try to be anything that it wasn’t: this is filesharing software that just wants to be filesharing software. I just want to share music and it lets me do just that.
The next thing that I really liked about Ares Ultimate is that the screens all manage to guide me through the steps I need to take in a simple logical fashion. I’m no computer whiz and it’s nice to have my hand held occasionally when I’m a little confused as to what is going on. On the flip side of this coin, though, the software doesn’t interfere or bother me when I don’t need it. The designers seem to have got that bit just right.
What surprised me most was the time from deciding to give Ares Ultimate a go to the time that I was downloading my favorite music. It was literally under 10 minutes: this isn’t something that needs study or much thought. Click, accept, click, accept, download. If I can work Ares Ultimate then anyone can!
